Pink and Carey Hart were so keen to acquire an oceanfront home in Malibu last year that they coughed up $200,000 more than the $13.5 million asking price for a freshly renovated contemporary home once owned by Barry Manilow. (The “Copacabana” singer sold the house back in in 2012 for almost $5.5 million.)

Just four months after they bought it, and with few obvious improvements, the three-time Grammy winning “Trouble” singer and the motocross-racer-turned-off-road-truck-racer returned the showbiz pedigreed property to the market with an in-hindsight pie-in-the-sky price tag of $15 million. The listing disappeared from the open market just three months later, only to return this week with a giant price reduction.

Described in marketing materials as “iconic,” and newly re-listed with Lily Harfouche of Compass at a whisper under $14 million, the home’s 4,300 square feet are divided between a boxy, split-level main house and, across a central courtyard atop the two-car garage, a self-contained ocean-view one-bedroom and one-bath apartment for guests or staff.

Staged for the selling process with inoffensive neutral furnishings, the light and bright living room boasts a soaring ceiling and towering walls of floor-to-ceiling windows that slide open to a wrap-around terrace. A private set of steps leads down to the beach. The dining room overlooks the living room, and a wallpapered den spills out to the serene and private central courtyard, with its built-in barbecue and spa tub, while the sleek eat-in kitchen is crisply rendered in creams and whites and jazzed up with brass-inlaid marble backsplashes.

The main house’s four bedrooms include a spacious ocean-facing homeowner’s retreat that’s complete with an ocean-view bathroom and a pair of fitted walk-in closets. A glass-railed balcony offers unobstructed views from the Palos Verde Peninsula to Point Dume.

The mega-selling pop-rock veteran, who consistently ranks among highest earning women in entertainment – Forbes estimated she hauled in a staggering $57 million in 2019, and her thrill-seeking husband previously owned another home in Malibu, which they sold in 2016 for $12.5 million. They also owned an undeveloped neighboring parcel that tax records show was sold about a year ago for $7.5 million to a couple of corporate entities linked to Equinox health clubs founder Donato Errico. However, for the last eight or ten years, Pink and Hart have made their family’s primary home a sprawling organic vineyard in Santa Ynez, Calif., where the oenophile recording artist is the founder and official winemaker for the Two Wolves label.
