Powerhouse Italian fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni rose to international digital media stardom with her blog The Blonde Salad, which she began in 2009, and five years ago she ranked first on the Forbes “Top Fashion Influencers” list. Since then, her reach into the social media and entertainment realms has only expanded.

With 27.4 million Instagram followers, Ferragni holds down a plum gig as a judge on Amazon’s fashion competition show “Making the Cut,” and last year joined the board of directors for the Italian luxury shoe and leather goods company Tod’s. Engaged live at one his concerts in 2017, Ferragni wore Dior when she married platinum-certified Italian rapper Fedez the following year in Sicily; they’ve since had a couple of children and the young family is the subject of the 2021 docureality series “The Ferragnez,” also on Amazon.

Ferragni has lived between her native city of Milan and Los Angeles since 2015, and about five years ago, just before she got engaged, splashed out nearly $2 million for a completely redone 1918 bungalow on a tree-lined street in a historic Hollywood neighborhood.

Now more permanently settled back in Milan, where she’s preparing to move into a brand-new apartment with amazing city views, the veteran social media heavy hitter sold the designer clothes, shoes and handbags that once filled the closets of her Hollywood home in a yard sale earlier this month and hoisted her playfully appointed pied-à-terre on the market at $2.7 million.

The 2,200-square-foot bungalow’s charming vintage exterior hides a decidedly contemporary interior that’s been stripped of most if not all of its original architectural details. Inside are three and potentially four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Fans will recognize the neon pink Hotel California sign that hangs on the wall of the expansive open plan living and dining space, which flows easily into the kitchen that is decked out with all manner of up-to-date designer appliances.

Bathrooms are sheathed in marble, and at least two of them are gussied up with classic banana leaf wallpaper that resembles the iconic version found throughout The Beverly Hills Hotel. Ferragni used the walk-in closet in the main bedroom primarily for shoes, while the fashionista converted one of the other bedrooms to a walk-in closet and dressing room.

A wraparound deck outside the kitchen and main bedroom overlooks the simply landscaped backyard and detached two-car garage that’s been converted to flexible living space. There is not a pool but there’s certainly room to add one.

The property is available through Tenny Kilmore at Coldwell Banker Realty.

Ferragni and Fedez, with more than 14 million Instagram followers a potent social media maven in his own right, have been living in a Zaha Hadid-designed rental apartment in the CityLife project in Milan but last year announced they purchased the home of their dreams, reportedly a brand-new two-story penthouse atop a Daniel Libeskind-designed tower in the same neighborhood. The couple and their two young children hope to move into the not yet completed dream pad by the end of this year or early next.
